Privacy Policy
Protect BC Forests (protectbcforest.ca) is a website hosting an online petition calling on the province of British Columbia to follow through on transformation stewardship and industry promises.
The petition was prepared by two independent scientists in B.C.: Dr. Suzanne Simard, R.P.F., Mother Tree Network Society and Dr. Rachel F. Holt, R.P.Bio., independent ecologist.
Petition
When you sign the online petition, we collect:
- Your name
- Your address, city and postal code
- Your email address
- Your phone number
- The date and time you signed
- Your IP address (to prevent duplicates and spam)
We collect this information only to:
- Verify signatures
- Submit the petition to the appropriate government representatives
- Contact you only if you choose to receive email updates
We do not use your information for anything else.
Your information is stored securely in Canada and is only seen by the people running this petition. We share it only when submitting the petition, or if required by law. We do not sell or trade your information.
We keep your information only as long as needed to complete the petition process, unless you have opted in to receive updates.
